A garbage equipment skip bin is a large, open-top waste container designed to be loaded onto a special truck called a scrap truck. Typically, a skip bin has a distinctive shape: its longitudinal cross-section is either a trapezoid or two trapezoids stacked on top of each other. The lower trapezoid has a smaller bottom edge and a longer top edge. The short sides at each end are lowered for easier loading. If it's an upper trapezoid, the top edge is smaller. Each end of the skip bin has a sloped bottom or sidewall.
Garbage Equipment Skip Bins usually have two lugs on each side to which chains can be attached so that a heavy dump truck or tipper can be lifted onto it. A dedicated dump truck or crane is usually used.
There are several types of skip bin:

2.Closed skip bin are more secure and prevent unauthorized use. They ensure that the volume of waste does not exceed the maximum limit.
3.Roll-on/roll-off (RORO) skip bin are similar to open skips, but instead of being lifted onto a skip loader wagon by chains, they are rolled onto a wagon with a hook. They are more common as industrial containers and are not suitable for domestic use (see: roll-off).
4.Mobile skip bins are usually set on a trailer with four wheels. A lifting mechanism is used to load and unload the skip from the trailer. Normal sizes used are 3m³, 4 m³, and 6 m³. However, sizes ranging from 8 m³, 10 m³, and 12 m³ are also available for larger waste management jobs.
