The Hydraulic Hopper Garbage Compactor is powered by a hydraulic system. It operates in a closed-loop process of "material hopper feeding, powerful compression by the hydraulic push head, reduction of garbage volume for storage, and transfer when the container is full". The entire system is of an all-enclosed, fully automated, continuous operation mode.

1. Loading and feeding stage

The garbage is lifted into the upper hopper by manual means, garbage trucks or garbage bin lifting devices;

The hopper is mostly designed with an inclined and hinged structure, relying on a hydraulic lifting mechanism to smoothly slide the garbage into the compression chamber below;

The sides of the hopper are equipped with sealing edges to prevent the garbage from scattering, the leakage of filtrate and the spread of odors.


2. Pressure build-up of the hydraulic system and movement of the pusher

The motor drives the hydraulic pump to operate, pressurizing the hydraulic oil and sending it into the main hydraulic cylinder;

The high-pressure hydraulic oil pushes the compression pusher to move horizontally along the guide rail, which is the power source of the entire equipment.


3. Garbage Compression and Volume Reduction

The compression process is generally divided into three stages:

Fast advance stage

The push head moves rapidly in the forward direction, gathering the loose garbage and reducing the idle running time.

High-pressure compression stage

After the push head comes into contact with the garbage, the system automatically switches to the high-pressure mode, applying a large force to compress, crush and compact the garbage, transforming the fluffy garbage into a high-density block-like form, significantly reducing its volume.

Pressure holding stage

The pusher remains at the maximum compression position for a short period of time to stabilize the density of the garbage and prevent rebound, ensuring the compaction effect.


4. Return journey and continuous cycle

After the compression process is completed, the hydraulic system switches direction, and the push head quickly retreats to reset;

At this point, you can again feed materials into the hopper, and the equipment automatically repeats the sequence of "feeding - compression - holding pressure - return journey", achieving continuous operation;

There is a pressure sensor inside the machine. When the compression box is filled, the system automatically alarms and stops.


5. Full-box Discharge and Transfer

The rear door of the box is sealed by a hydraulic locking mechanism. When the box is full, the hydraulic lock is released;

The compression head extends again and pushes the compacted garbage blocks out as a whole;

For mobile integrated machines, the entire compressed box can be directly hooked and transferred, with no leakage and no secondary pollution throughout the process.


The motor drives the hydraulic pump to generate high-pressure oil. The high-pressure oil then pushes the compression head. The compression head squeezes the garbage that has entered the hopper. The garbage is compressed and reduced in volume and stored in the box. Once the box is full, it automatically stops and discharges the contents hydraulically.
